Need to get back into this blogging thing... One blog post a week? I think that's totally doable. Please gently remind me if I forget/don't stick to this unofficial promise I've made to myself on my Insta ;)
I've been seriously loving working with my Citrus Twist kits the past few months. I got my May kit in the post this week, and I'm itching to get stuck in. But I better start sharing my April projects first, right?
You can find the first layout I made with the April 'Sophie' kit here on the CTK blog, and on my YouTube here. I was inspired by Beauty & the Beast and so I extra love how the layout turned out!
Okay, now here's the latest layout I've made with the 'Sophie' Main Scrapbook and Embellishment kits.
I was inspired by this post from Crate Paper's Instagram. Title's are rarely my starting off point for layouts, but I absolutely loved this phrase and I immediately knew I wanted to paper-piece some Wellie boots together. Classic me...
The Pinkfresh Studio alpha set from their Dream On collection is incredible. I never really buy letter stickers, I only use ones I get in kits, but I'm seriously tempted to buy an extra set of these. They're perfect.
Talking of Pinkfresh, the puffy stickers in the Dream On collection are almost sinfully soft and puffy! I didn't know stickers could be so soft and pillow-like; I'm so glad to have these in my life.
I would highly recommend picking up the 'Sophie' exclusive ephemera from the CTK store if you can. I've really noticed that a lot of ephemera packs are full of die-cuts that are on the larger side, but it's nice to have smaller pieces to dot around your pages and the Sophie ephemera pack has the perfect mix. I absolutely love it, it's a gorgeous addition to have in your stash and full of beautiful images.
See you soon,

Uh oh - I've been a bit of a busy bee and have been severely lacking on blog posts, I'm sorry!
But today, I am remedying that and have a Citrus Twist Kits layout to share with you, using this month's Kinsley kit.
This month's kit had a really beautiful soft and dreamy feel, so for my first layout using the kit, I went along that same vibe.
I picked the word 'dream' and chose a nice and simple script font and then spent a *few* minutes stitching. I have a video tutorial here where I show you how I stitch on my layouts, in case you're interested.
I absolutely love paper '8' from Paige Evans for Pink Paislee's Take Me Away collection; I think it might be one of my favourite all time papers. I love the mint to pink ombre with small scallop detail and I knew I wanted to feature that somehow.
Because my title was 'dream' I went with the 'z' sleep thing... I don't know a better way to describe that!! Graphic? Motif? Eh... The 'Z thing' will do!!
I used a serif font for the Z's as that would contrast nicely with the title's font. I gradually made the Z's slightly bigger than the last and cut them out following the paper's gradient.
I popped the Z's up on some foam and weaved in some hand-stitched clouds, and did a tone-on-tone thing using some of the embellishments, and my butterfly punches on some scraps (classic Elsie - ha!!).
I also got a bit mixed-mediary with a star stencil and some modelling paste, I love that extra bit of detail on the background. I'm kinda addicted to a stencils and modelling paste combo at the mo, I think it's such an effective, but easy technique!
I created a bit of contrast from all the mints and pinks, with my border by using that beautiful ochre/yellow exclusive CTK paper.
Also that eyelash piece is cut out from a WRMK tag from the Sprinkles add-on. I think it kinda looks like the cloud is sleeping - so adorable!
Thanks for stopping by today, and remember to check out the awesome Citrus Twist Kits site. The kits are stunning, I'm absolutely loving working with them.

Join me over on the Citrus Twist blog today, for my first layout as part of the Design Team - eeek! The other DT members are incredible, so have a stalk of the blog whilst you're there for some scrappy eye-candy! x
This was such a fun layout to make, mainly because Felicity Jane floral papers are stunning and it's impossible to not make a feature of them with every layout I make.
And they're pretty great to fussy-cut whilst watching an episode Kirstie & Phil's Love It or List It... Don't judge; Kirstie & Phil are perfect.
